'''Identify Group or Country/Region Members''' allows IFs users to identify which countries/regions are represented in certain groups. Upon selecting a group (OECD or Afr-SubSahar) from the list on the left, its constituent members will be shown in the right-hand panel. Similarily, when the '''Using Regions''' option is selected, the list on the left will change from groups to a list of countries.

To access the Manage Country Data sub-option, click on Extended Features on the Main Menu of IFs. There you will find two sub-sub-options:

To access Edit Country Data, click on Extended Features on the Main Menu of IFs, and then select Manage Country Data.

'''Editing Initial Conditions for Countries:''' You may find that the data base for a country is less complete and/or accurate than you would like. You can fix most of that with the normal procedures for changing initial conditions and parameters.
'''Edit Group or Country/Region Members''' This feature allows the user to modify existing groups or create new custom groups by adding or removing member countries. This changes how regional aggregates are calculated.

The grid gives you the opportunity to go into all issue areas and all countries and change any values you wish of the raw data. To narrow down your selection, simply click on Please remember that, if you do so, you will need to rebuild the base case again (after indicating the issue area(s) in which you have changed data) and then rerun the model. Also please remember that any changes you make to the raw data are "permanent" and do not disappear after you exit IFs: the only ways to reverse them are to do so number-by-number or to reinstall IFs.

'''Rebuild Base'''

This feature of IFs allows users to alter the historic data that underlies IFs. It is suggested that only those with extensive experience using IFs attempt to change this data.
Re-processes all country data, parameters, and any new group definitions to create a new "Base Case" scenario file (`IFsBase.run`) for future projections (from 2022-2100). Check the ''using Bilateral Data box'' and selecct the '''(R)ebuild''' base to process your data. This allow data from all the modules ( example ''Processing Data on Infrastructure - Please Wait'')

Identify Group or Country/Region Members allows IFs users to identify which countries/regions are represented in certain groups. Upon selecting a group (OECD or Afr-SubSahar) from the list on the left, its constituent members will be shown in the right-hand panel. Similarily, when the Using Regions option is selected, the list on the left will change from groups to a list of countries.

Vet and Merge Imported Data

This feature checks the quality and integration  for newly imported data. It reviews the data for errors and merges it into the model's master historical database. Marking Threshold enable the user to manipulate data in Years, Points and Differences by Percent or Unit.

Import Population Data

A specialized function for importing new population datasets, which are critical for the model's demographic core. This allow users to load their data.

Earliest Data, Add or Update, Most Recent Data, Add or Update, Most Recent Adjusted Data, Add or Update

These three options provide granular control for updating specific years within an existing data series in IFs. They let users patch the historical record at its start, its latest point, or with a statistically adjusted recent estimate.

Project Data

Initiates imported or modified historical data series into the future using the model's algorithms, creating a complete time series for model runs. The option load project data allow rebuild base case (select rebuild base to learn more about the steps)

Add or Delete SubRegions

Enables sub-national analysis. This feature allows a user to add and remove states or provinces within a country in IFs. When a specific country is selected the available states or provinces or regions for the country appear a list box in the middle.

Merge Migration series from UNPD and Abel

A technical data management tool. It separates two key historical migration data sources (UN Population Division and Abel et al. estimates), allowing users to work with or modify them independently.

Add or Delete Countries

This process allows for the incorporation a row of the new country entity in all tables (e.g., a newly independent state) into the model's core database, or the removal of one.

Recreate Scenario File

This feature allow a user rebuilds a specific scenario file from scratch, incorporating data from Runfile and the Base Case scenario

Clear Session

This resets the current working session by clearing all temporary data, unsaved changes, and returns the user to IFs Main Menu.
