There are 72 series marked as "economic" in the "group" field that are read into the preprocessor. Most of them come from World_Development_Indicators (WDI). There are quite a few series marked as "IMF GFS 2013 BATCH PULL". There are a lot of data on the informal economy from ILO-WIEGO. Cyber data also appears to be read into DataEcon.

Initialize government consumption
SeriesGovCon%GDP is used to initalize government consumption.
If this data point is null for a country, it is estimated using the equation: "GDP/Capita (PPP) Versus Govt Cons % GDP (" & CStr(BaseYear) & ")", which is an equation estimated using GDP per capita (PPP) and government consumption as a percent of GDP from the Base Year. This value is then bound between 9 and 35.
Sum up government consumption from sectors. Set GovCon as the max of GovCon and the GovCon calculated as the sum of sectors. Again bound between 9 and 35.
Central government expenditures
According to the philosophy of the code, data on government consumption and expenditures are "pretty good" we use these to organize initial SAM structure."
GovtExpCentral is initialized using SeriesGovExpense%GDP. If null, this series is also estimated using GDP per capita using a similar formula above:
